Honey Half - Terms and Conditions
Egmont Honey Run Club Half Marathon Event – 26 April 2025
- These Terms & Conditions apply to your entrance into the 2025 Egmont Honey Run Club Half Marathon event and associated events on 26 April 2025. By entering the Event and paying the applicable entry fee, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms.
- The minimum age to run the half marathon is 14 years old. For the 5.5km all runners 11 years and under need to be accompanied by a supervisor.
- If you cannot participate in the event for any reason, entry fee refunds are available in accordance with the below stated Withdrawal dates only. After the stipulated dates, entry fees are non-refundable for withdrawals initiated by the athlete. Requests for refunds must be notified to the organiser via email marketing@egmonthoney.co.nz.
Please allow up to 30 business days for your refund to be processed:
- Entry fee refunds requested up until 11.59pm on 31st January 2025 will receive a refund of 75% of their entry fee.
- Entry fee refunds requested from 12.00am 1st February 2025 up until 11.59pm on 14th April 2025 will receive a refund of 35% of their entry fee.
- Egmont Honey (and their officers, directors, volunteers, employees, sponsors or any party associated with the event) will not be liable to you under the law of tort (including negligence), contract or otherwise for any direct or indirect loss, injury or death which might be sustained by you or any other party directly or indirectly associated with you, from your intended or actual participation in the event and its related activities.
5. Safety - I understand:
a) the running events are held in public places (walkways and the foreshore) and streets/roads (that will remain open) and each athlete is solely responsible for their safety.
b) key hazards of the event include, but are not limited to, vehicles, other runners, pedestrians, spectators, road surface, track surfaces, weather, poor physical preparation, improper protective gear, hypothermia and heat stroke.
c) all signage, course marshals, employees of Egmont Honey and volunteers are a service to athletes, however, are not a guarantee of safety.
- I authorise Egmont Honey to use my name, voice or picture in any advertising, marketing or promotion or in any other way relating to the Event pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993. Egmont Honey will comply with its obligations under the Privacy Act 1993 and the Privacy Act 2020 in relation to the collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information obtained from you in connection with your entrance into the Event.
- Egmont Honey collects and stores athletes’ details including postal address, email address and phone number. I acknowledge that these may be used to contact me regarding the event.
- I understand and accept that my details will be added to the Egmont Honey database and I will be contacted from time to time in regards to upcoming events and promotions, by us or our event partners.
- I acknowledge that Egmont Honey have absolute discretion in accepting my entry, which may be revoked at any time including on race day for not adhering to the rules outlined.
- Cancellation: In the case of total cancellation of the Event due to an event of force majeure the total entry fee is non-refundable.
- I understand this is a fun run for the purpose of bringing the community together. It is expected that athletes will show respect to the public (on walkways or in vehicles), Egmont Honey employees and volunteers, and other participants.
