Turmeric Latte

Now is the season for whipping up delicious hot drinks and cuddling in on the couch with a good book. We love that this recipe is packed full of anti-inflammatory spices and sweetened with our delicious honey. We think this one will become a firm favourite for all the right reasons!

 

Serves: 2

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 3-4 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • ¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Egmont Honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups milk

 

METHOD

  1. Put the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, honey and vanilla into a small bowl and mix well to combine.
  2. Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan, spoon in the turmeric paste then whisk until smooth.
  3. Over a medium-high heat bring the milk to the boil then remove from the heat, froth if desired then divide between two mugs.
  4. Top with a sprinkling of turmeric powder before serving.
