About Egmont HoneyEgmont Honey is a family owned bee keeping business based in South Taranaki. The company is appropriately named after the towering mountain that overlooks the entire region. Also known as Mt Taranaki the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand have huge respect for this beautiful mountain.
It is a great source of food, honey, recreation and crystal clear water that flows down the fast moving rivers. The Egmont Honey bee keepers are proud to collect all of their honey from this great region. |
We recognise that commercial pollination is extremely important to the world's food supply but the “Egmont bees’ are fully focused honey bees and only pollinate the remote forests and pastures where they are based all year round” |
James AnnabellJames has been in the honey industry for 12 years and until founding Egmont Honey spent most of that time based in Hong Kong where he developed the Asian market for two of New Zealand's largest honey companies.
“After building up a significant number of bee hives with Toby I decided to leave the more corporate companies to concentrate 100% of my time on developing the Egmont Honey brand and working with our private label customers” |
